Junior School Curriculum

Ringwood Secondary College offers students in Years 7 and 8 a comprehensive and rich curriculum delivered by specialist teachers to engage and challenge. Our current program follows the Victorian Curriculum. The curriculum is the common set of knowledge and skills required by students for life long learning, social development, and active and informed citizenship. The Victorian Curriculum incorporates the Austraiian Curriculum and reflects the Victorian priorities and standards.

The Curriculum Program:

  • uses a variety of teaching and learning strategies to cater for different learning styles
  • provides independent and collaborative learning experiences
  • supports students to be more effective learners through the explicit teaching of thinking skills
  • uses learning technologies which supports the development of skills in using relevant software and the internet
