Careers & Pathways
Our entire Careers Department philosophy is based on the recognition that each student’s path is a translation of success. Our dedication to providing individualised and tailored information and support enabled us to maintain a positive relationship with our students.
Outside of class, students are welcome to visit us in the 100 building, opposite the Middle School Office. You can also contact us via Teams or email.
MacBook Program
The student 1:1 device program has been successfully implemented at Ringwood Secondary College since 2006 and plays a critical role in ensuring that our students have the right access to technology to meet their learning needs. Our 1:1 device program is reviewed annually to ensure there commended devices meet the requirements of today’s learning environment.
The College works with a recommended supplier and all devices purchased through the College’s recommended supplier will receive full support from our IT Services Department.
Experience from previous years has shown that purchasing devices through preferred suppliers has allowed ease of access for the students and swift resolution of issues via IT Services. Maintenance, repairs and software updates on those devices can be managed by students, parents, carers directly with the supplier or they can be managed by the College.
We recommend the use of the preferred college supplier for ease of repairs and the school’s ability to provide a more complete ICT support solution. This practice and approach have typically been supported by nearly 98% of our families due to this and the favourable pricing terms.
If you have any questions in relation to the Laptop Program, then please contact us on (03) 9870 2002 or email [email protected].

Wellbeing
Students are better prepared for learning when they are healthy, safe and happy, therefore wellbeing is the responsibility of all staff working in a whole school context. Student learning cannot be separated from wellbeing.
Striving to help students at the College to learn effectively and to develop positive behaviours and attitudes are shared goals of teachers, student support services staff and parents. At Ringwood Secondary College we aim to provide an environment which ensures each individual student maximises their educational potential.
House System
Ringwood Secondary College is proud to provide an educational environment that ensures that all students are valued and cared for, feel they are part of the school, and can engage effectively in their learning and experience success.
In 2016, the Student Representative Council and student cohort, played a key role in the creation and implementation of a new House System at Ringwood Secondary College. The House System is a way of organising students where they are expected to work together to achieve common goals and creates a sense of group identity, which is symbolised in a House name and logo. Involvement in leading House based activities challenges students to unite and collaborate in teams with students across year levels, provides younger students with role models to look up to in the older students and gives the older students an opportunity to mentor younger students.
