Student Leadership Program

At Ringwood Secondary College, we foster a culture that encourages and promotes young people to discover their leadership potential and develop the skills to become the change they want to be. A plethora of formal and informal leadership opportunities are offered to students in Year 7 – 12.

Our Year 12 Prefects work as a team and in portfolios that include Philanthropy, Sport, Music, Wellbeing, Visual Arts, Chaplaincy, Houses (Jackman, Mabo, Frazer and Freeman), Cultural Diversity, Performing Arts and the Environment.

Student leaders in Year 7 – 11 take up positions such as Year Level Leaders, Sports, Music, Performing Arts, Dance and House Leaders.

Our 2024 Prefects

Students are encouraged to participate in sports of their choice, with over 120 teams entered in competitions throughout the year. Over the course of the year over 800 students are involved in at least one sporting team or Carnival Day.

More than 20 sports are available from Aerobics, Athletics, Basketball and Hockey through to Table Tennis, Tennis, Soccer and Volleyball. Other sports such as Equestrian, Inline Hockey, Sport Aerobics, Lacrosse, Touch Footy and Cycling are run on demand.

Performing Arts

Performing Arts at Ringwood Secondary College has been thriving for decades and continues to go from strength to strength today. The school has a proud tradition of annual productions and is committed to staging a full scale, large chorus musical in August each year.

Sports

Ringwood has a proud tradition in sport and strong participation by students in the College sports program. The College competes in the School Sport Victoria competitions within the Maroondah Division, Eastern Region and State level sports.
